Londra Palace

Riva degli schiavoni, Venice, Italy

The Hotel Londra Palace is located right on the Riva degli Schiavoni, just a few steps from St. Mark’s Square, Ponte dei Sospiri and the most iconic as well as the most hidden, authentic corners of the Serenissima.

The name “LONDRA PALACE” goes back to the 1970s. Originally, the hotel was made of two separate hotels: the Hotel Angleterre & Pension, later called Londres, dating back to 1853 and the Beau Rivage, built in 1865. The two building were merged in 1900. The roof of the older building was raised in the 1950’s, renovations carried out at the turn of the new century and the latest redesign of the space on the street level give the hotel its current aspect.

For over 140 years, the LONDRA PALACE with its 100 windows overlooking St. Mark’s Basin, has been a favorite gathering place for artists, people of culture, travelers and tourists who appreciate authentic places that are not bound by the spirit if time.
